Despite my last post (on Instagram) where I detail my frustration with the chimney lining/fireplace condensation and constantly being told by contractors that something is “weird diy”, there really aren’t many issues with Lowery House. I do think she has more features that fit the “best” category rather than “worst”. Below are the best and worst features in order of photo placement:

Best
The beautiful green tile in the bathroom.
The backyard that turned into mine and Emma’s oasis last summer (even though street noise is pretty loud).
The porch, which is my favorite space inside the house.
The BIG basement with so much storage.

Worst
The fact someone painted over that beautiful green tile and it’s been hell to remove.
The toilet was cemented into the surrounding floor tile, which left it with this nasty gunk on the bottom.
The fact that someone put ugly, tan tile over the original green floor tile makes me want to CRY! This last photo was taken when I was having the plumbing redone in the bathroom after it failed and, while it looked nasty, I was so happy to see more of the original floor tile unveiled for a short moment.

Yeah, I have a lot of complaints about the bathroom. Someday she will shine like the emerald beauty she deserves to be.
