However, it wasn’t even close to the first house I looked at in person. I spent an entire day with @lesahaggard66 and my wonderful realtor @findalottolove looking at at least 10 different houses before my mother finally pushed me to look at Lowery House. The reason I need the push? I was worried the kitchen and living room were too small. Oh, was I wrong. Let me tell you something: even if a house has awkward photos, look at it! The photos just didn’t do this house justice. I literally gasped when I walked in the front door for the first time and Summer said, “I think we found your house.” It was everything I had been looking for and more.
These two photos are from last year. Today is a dreary day and I have a lot of work to do in the flower beds this spring, but I’m so excited to put in some local pollinator plants to emphasize the facade and help the local ecosystem. Unfortunately, the house faces North so I’ll need all shade-loving plants. There’s also an infestation of “mile-a-minute” weed that I’ll need to take care of before planting anything new.
